quantities between sample sizes and standard

not allow you to do this.
QA ANALYSIS– QUALITY
ASSURANCE AT BIOCATALYSTS
Biocatalysts
prides itself on its product consistency. To achieve
this, our analysis laboratory has a comprehensive
library of enzymatic assay procedures.
A core selection of these
are validated within our own laboratory to ensure
a high standard of consistency within the test
procedure. These validated procedures are used
for our Finished Product Quality Control. Additional
methods allow us to analyse a complete spectrum
of side activities for every enzyme that enters
the laboratory.
Our Quality Control laboratory, as part of the
Operations Division, operates under ISO9001:2000
(Biocatalysts was amongst the first companies
in Wales to be accredited to this new standard).
In addition, we have written our procedures to
confirm to the Laboratory standard ISO17025 (although
we have not yet been assessed). This will enable
us to offer accredited laboratory services in
the future. So you can be confident when sending
us samples that you will get the right result
first time!
As well as extensive experience in testing enzymes,
we also have many years experience in development
of enzyme tests. So if you have an enzyme-related
testing problem, we may be the right people to
call!
CONTRACT R&D
Biocatalysts
have a team of dedicated research scientists who
work full time developing new products for both
our standard ranges and for individual clients.
Unlike many enzyme companies
we actively encourage these highly qualified experts
to liaise directly with clients to ascertain their
exact needs. Sometimes our Sector Experts,
as they are known, travel to a client’s production
site or laboratory to find out first hand the
process conditions under which the enzyme will
be working or to solve process problems first
hand.

CONTRACT FERMENTATION
At Biocatalysts we
have a team of scientists dedicated to the fermentation,
extraction of and purification of a wide range
of enzymes.
Whether you are looking for an alternative supplier
of your enzymes or you are looking to scale-up
an enzyme you have developed our experienced team
are happy to help. At present we have up to pilot
plant fermentation capacity on-site. Our facilities
are designed to work with genetically modified
organisms requiring up to Containment Category
level 2 if required. For larger scale processes
we have well established partnerships.
