New Members of the NPD Team!
The New Product Development team has recently welcomed 2 new students for short term placements: Felix and Nerea. At Biocatalysts, we closely work with Universities and the arrival of these 2 students is an illustration of these academic collaborations. Felix is currently doing his bachelor of science in technical biology at the University of Stuttgart (Germany) under the supervision of Prof. Bernhard Hauer. He will stay with us for 2 months working on the early development of a new enzyme (cloning and expression trials) for food applications. Nerea is from the University of Basque Country (Spain) where she is studying a food science degree under the supervision of Prof. Mertxe de Renobales. She will work with us for 6 months on a customer based project and novel enzymes applications across the NPD team. Having students is for us a great opportunity to share our technical knowledge and to continuously learn from them as well!
