Salary: £30,000 (dependent on experience) plus bonus and substantial benefits

Due to our on-going commitment to expanding our product portfolio which is central to accelerating our growth, we have created a new opportunity for a Scientist/Technical Lead to become part of our highly motivated New Product Development Team.
Reporting to the New Product Development Supervisor, this challenging role offers a unique opportunity to work as part of a customer focused NPD team as the high level Technical Lead on projects to successfully develop new enzyme products for our customers and markets.
You must have either a Masters or PhD in biology, chemistry or biochemistry along with extensive practical (laboratory) experience in one or more of the following subjects: molecular cloning, bioinformatics, fermentation (bacterial or yeast) and downstream processing.
You will have excellent communication, planning and organisational skills, have the capacity to analyse situations, diagnose problems and produce logical, practical and cost effective solutions. You will have a questioning approach to your work, the ability to work flexibly and co-operatively within the New Product Development Team. Strong project management experience would be a distinct advantage in this role.
